The entrance to the Tailend forest was a somewhat blurred line between Haven Forest, in that one could accidentally find themselves in it, and the only obvious way to tell the difference between the two places was the green mist- by then, one would have already entered the dungeon.
There appeared to be footprints going right into the forest, right in a straight line, no teetering, as if their entrance was intentional.

Jackson sniffed the footprints that he saw near the entrance. He was definitely picking up a scent of something, but he didn't know what.
Curse my weak nose
Jackson lifted his head up and looked at the entrance. Lots of green mist and greenery. Not his element, but Jackson could make it and the Pokemon inside his element. The fact that all the Pokemon inside were Grass-types gave Jackson confidence.
"This is going to be so easy."

Inside the forest, there were some dark blue spots that could be identified as Chesto Berries. The only problem, however, seemed to be that a Burmy had already spotted them, hanging near the bush from which they were hanging.

Jackson walked into the Dungeon and immediately saw the Chesto Berries. He rolled his eyes and sighed. He fiddled with the Racket Band around his ankle.
Yes, more things to keep me awake. That is definitely what I need.
Jackson walked forward and, at the same time, so did a Burmy. This little guy also wanted the berries in the floor. Jackson stared the Burmy done, Intimidating it, then sprinted towards it. His teeth went ablaze as he went to bite the Burmy with Fire Fang.

The Burmy barely knew what hit them when they met the eyes of the Growlithe, looking away and being unable to really meet his stare. In a quick moment, the Burmy cried out as the Growlithe's fiery fangs hit them, bringing them down to the ground and KOing them in an instant, leaving the berries open for the taking.
(( You've obtained 3 Chesto Berries! Jackson has also moved onto F2 ))
Further ahead in the dungeon, there was yet another enemy. However, this one preferred a more stealthy approach. It was in the bushes where they waited, cockily thinking they could take on the fire pokemon.

(Yay, more pointless berries. Got lots to sell, though) Jackson sighed as he collected the Chesto berries. He walked along to the next floor. He entered and looked around. Nothing in sight. Jackson began wandering around, looking for anything when he heard a rustling in the bushes next to him. He looked at it. Something was there. Jackson turned to it and prepared himself to blast the bush. He stopped, though. He could set the whole place on fire by doing that. He instead called out to the creature in the bush.
"Who's there?"

(( Ah, sorry! It just seems that the Random Number God hates you... ))
There was a pause, "Ah, uh, nothing! Wait. Crap..." the voice paused again, before a Krikitot came running out of the bushes, "Uh, look, I'm really tough, so..." another pause. It was clear that the pokemon didn't think this through.

( Curse him.) Jackson watched the Krikitot burst from the bushes and stumble about in fear. Lyme Growlithe snickered at the unsure ness of the Krikitot. "You know, I almost don't want to knock you out," Jackson said. (I'm not sure what to do about this guy. He spoke and I'll feel like a jerk if Jackson KOs him )

(( If you want, you could have Jackson try to befriend him. ))
"Hey hey now!" the Kricketot said, trying to hold up their tiny hands as if they were fists, "I can fight perfectly well, let me tell you! I mean, I defeated a grass pokemon on the last floor!" he said, before realizing that to a fire type, this might not be so impressive, "But, uh, I can put up a fight! I really can!"

James studied the Krikitot and laughed again. The bug Pokemon was funny and James liked his spunk. He smiled at the bug.
"Don't worry, I believe you can fight. But I'm going to need some solid proof. Why don't you accompany me for the rest of my time here. It'd spare you a couple of burns and, you know what, you could be pretty useful. Do you know this place well?"
Jackson hoped his attempt at friendship with the Krikitot worked. It was just inexperienced and trying to prove itself and seem tough. Jackson could appreciate that. It'd be a shame to stop such potential in one fell swoop.

At first, the Kricketot thought that the Growlithe might be mocking him, before hearing his laugh. Upon hearing his offer, the pokemon paused, "... Weelll, usually I don't go with just anyone, but you seem kinda' tough. Besides, I guess having a fire-type in a place filled with plants is a neat advantage- or a fire hazard. Either one, really." he shrugged. Oh, and there would be no fainting by fire either, that was a plus.
"So, just stick by me- I know this place well enough... Uh, well, for a mystery dungeon that is." he said, "Anyway, where're you heading?"
(( Jackson has moved onto F3!

Ahead, a Ledyba spotted them. Almost immediately did they take an attacking stance, the most common reaction of dungeon pokemon to foreigners- and anyone that happened to side with them.

As the two walked onto the next floor, Jackson turned to the Krikitot.
"I'm looking for someone's things that they lost in here. You got a name," he asked, "I don't want to go around calling you 'Krikitot.' I'm Jackson, by the way."
A buzzing coughs Jackson's attention. A Ledyba faced the pair, looking ready to attack. Jackson saw the malice in its eyes and knew this one wasn't going to be swayed so easily. Jackson stepped forward and launched a quick Flame Burst at his opponent. Might as well get this over with quickly.

"Well, of course I have a name! I, I mean, it's not like I just walked around here being called 'Krikitot' all my life! That'd... that'd be ridiculous..." the Krikitot said, laughing nervously, "Er, anyways, just call me... Krikit. Yeah, that's good."
Upon seeing the Ledybug, he got ready to attack- up until a Flame burst whizzed past him, "Hey, watch where you're shooting that thing!"
Almost immediately did the Ledyba faint, whizzing to the ground before hitting it. The Ledyba twitched for a moment before managing to get up, trying to scurry away.
(( Your character has moved onto F4! ))
The path led onto a dead end, surrounded by impassible trees. Was this the end, if that were even possible in a dungeon?
However, near that dead end were various tiles, along with one blank one. If the blank tile were to be pressed, then the tiles would glow in a certain pattern, and for a certain time, would have to be pressed again in the same way, getting progressively harder.

"Krikit, huh," Jackson said, "Nice to meet you."
They continued on to the next floor and found the room covered with tiles. Jackson cringed. A puzzle.
Jackson had never been could at puzzles he wasn't the smartest knife in the crayon box (Reference!). The Growlithe padded on to the tiles nothing happened until he reached the center. He stepped on the only blank tile and a few other tiles began lighting up in a sequence. Jackson, confused, pressed the tile once more and saw the same sequence. A memory puzzle. Jackson looked at Krikit.
"Help me remember this, got it," he asked the bug Pokemon.

Krikit stared blankly at the tiles, "Ah, uh, yeah!" he said, so lost in thought that he jumped at the other pokemon's question, "Sure, I mean, I totally have a hang on these things..." he said, but sounded nervous. Krikit... well, he wasn't exactly stupid, but he never quite liked puzzles. It seemed as if they had to solve this one, though.
"Alriiight, so, we just step on here, and..." he said, stepping onto the tile and watched the blinking pattern, before trying to remember some of what it was.
