The entrance of the Misty Forest stood wide open, despite it's somewhat threatening appearance, with mist sprawling all over the floor of the dungeon, whilst the twisted branches of the trees attempted to reach up to the sky.
It's been said that criminals sometimes hid out here- yet, occasionally, there were others that attempted to take shelter here. Unless one knew how to utilize the forest, it was inevitable that they'd be caught, even with the unpredictability of dungeons.

Torren was supprisingly comfortable in such a gloomy place. It kinda reminded him of the last place he saw his pal Vladimir. Shame he didnt try to finish the fight...
"Uhm... guys let's try to stay on topic? Please?" The cubone asked himself.
Aww... you're no fun... cried a voice in his head.
Ignoring this, the helpeted Pokemon survayed his surroundings carefully. Maybe the exit is nearby... Floor... four, right?
"Hey, does anyone remember who we're supposed to find on floor four?" He asked no one in particular, whilst trying to remember it himself.
Turning in another direction, he sniffed the air cautiously.

Ahead in the dungeon, there was a bare bush full of about three Rawst berries, seeming open for the picking. However, a Ghastly was hiding themself among the trees, hoping to give quite a scare- or even attack- to anyone who approached the 'bait'.

"Hmmm... Rawst berries. Do we like rawst berries?"
No, Tor, trhey give us upset stomachs, remember?.
They do?
I'm not sure...
"We dont like rawst berries, then?" the cubone asked himself alloud.
Maybe we could sell them?
They're BERRIES! Who would buy berries?
"This is giving me a headache, guys..." He said, rapping his tri-clawed ront paw against his bare skull mask.
Just... just do something... replied a voice in his head, at whick point the cubone began sniffing the air. Torren could smell the berries. As he did not posess the sniff skill, however, he couldnt smell the being waiting in the bush.
Feeling relatively sure of himself, Torren charged headfirst, snarling at the bush, in attempt to knock the berries off of it.
Torren uses move "Headbutt. there is no one in range.

Grinning, the Ghastly flew out of the bush, putting themselves in front of the Cubone and making the wildest face they could, hoping to get a reaction from the other pokemon. If the pokemon were to continue with their Headbutt, they'd likely go right through the ghost pokemon, given their immunity.

The cubone stopped in it's tracks, although not soon enough to avoid going through the ghastly. It backed up, backing right through the ghasly again, then looked at it.
Friend or foe? Friend or foe?
Hey, that's kinda cool! We went through it!
Torren, please stop going through ghost pokemon, It is vey impolite to do that...
Well, Duh, thought Torren in response.
Now in front of the ghastly, he said with a cheesy grin, "Hello, ghost-type pokemon, did you know that it's pretty awsome how you can go through things like that?"

The Gastly stopped in front of the Cubone, tilting their head, or in this case, their whole body. Partially confused as to how they hadn't gotten a scared reaction, but mostly for not knowing why the other pokemon was being so friendly.
Nonetheless, they answered, "I... suppose...? It's usually just through normal pokemon, or in your case, using a normal-type attack..."

Torren smiled, then replied, " Well, Im glad you're immune to normal attacks, or that might have hurt both of us,"
Hey buddy, what ever happened to our quest? we're bored.
Hey, hey, here's an idea, Torr, my man, why dont we ask him for directions?
Looking around, the cubone took on a more confused appearance. "Hey, sorry to bother you, but, do you know how to get to floor 2? I kind-of need to hurry so I can get to floor 4 before the person I'm supposed to meet there wanders off."

"Ah, floor 2? Well... That's a trick question, isn't it?" the Gastly laughed, "Moving from floor to floor is sort'of ambiguous in mystery dungeons. You just suddenly... advance, I guess. However, I did notice that whenever you deal with whatever the dungeon throws at ya', you go up." they seemed to make a shrugging motion.
"... Perhaps I could accompany you? If ya' really need to get there quick, you might appreciate some help."

"Help would be nice, thank you... um... do you have a name?"
Really, Torren thought that having a ghost-type pokemon accompanying him for the duration of the quest was Pretty awsome. Also, He wasnt sure if this qualified, but maybe this could count to advance him to the next floor?
In addition, he was really curious as to the name of the ghastly. It seemed names were pretty rare around here...

(( Your character has advanced to F2! Feel free to just have him move on. You've also obtained 3 Rawst Berries. ))
"Mmm... not really." the Ghastly shook his head- or, er, body, "But, feel free to just call me Ghastly."
Ahead, there was a small bump in the ground. Inside, should a pokemon find this bump, was a Pecha Berry.

"Well I guess we're on floor two, now. Oh look, something happened to the ground overthere!" Said Torren cheerily. He bounded over to look at it. "Hey, Is it just me or does this look like someone put it there on purpose?" he asked, gazing curiously at the small mound.
He waited for his new friend, in case it hadnt caught up yet, not sure what to do about the unbearably awe-inspiring lump in the path. A collective 'what should we do?' rang throughout Torren's mind and all the peculiar charactors therein.
"What should we do, I wonder?"

Floating over to his companion, seeing the small mound prompted another head-body tilt, "Well, a pokemon might have buried something- or, knowing mystery dungeons, it could very well be something else." the Ghastly said, "Perhaps there might be some way to see if there isn't a trap buried under there?"

"Hold on-"
By default all cubones carry bones. Torren was no acception. The ground-type took out one half of the split femur he carried strapped to his back. He poked the ground with the bone. He poked a different part of the ground with the stick. He lightly poked different spots on the ground, carefully looking for any variation. There seemed to be something in the mound. But...

Getting closer to the mount, the Ghastly spotted a small, pink spotted that was slightly unburied, "Be careful!" they advised, "I think a Pecha berry is under there."
(( You've received a Pecha Berry! Your character has also advanced to F3 ))
Ahead, there was a tree in the middle of two split paths. Carved onto it was a message:
One path leads to rewards Another to pain So which is which?
And below that, there were some symbols, as well as some equations as to what symbols equaled what. With each path there was a tree with a symbol carved onto it, seeming to correspond with the symbols carved into the main tree.
