-Character-
Alignment: Chaotic NeutralPersonality:
Vanity is an interesting fellow. He's not exactly pleasant, but he's interesting. For Vanity is high and mighty; he's a pokemon which sees himself above all others, who he deems as 'peasants' and 'common folk' to his superiority, and will barge past pokemon no matter what the status in order to get what he wants. A spoilt and prideful brat at first glance, and second glance, and every single glance past that since that snobbishness will never leave his face. He's difficult to reason with, since once he has an opinion he will stick by it with terrifying stubbornness, and funnily enough would happily force his views on others and expect them to change for him. Unsurprisingly, Vanity is a coward. An absolute coward which will lie and run at opportunities which prove bad for him. He will lie to get what he wants. He will lie if people start to 'bully' him 'for no reason'. He will lie to extreme lengths to make his fur untouched and to make people feel bad about themselves for ever deciding that they should say bad words about Daddy's Little Boy. He's also known to throw tantrums. Often.
Speaking of fur untouched, Vanity has quite a minor case of mysophobia - a fear of dirt and filth. He needs to feel fresh and fabulous at all times, grooming his fur often and using his tails to dust the ground before him before he walks, absolutely hating to adventure, hating to get dirty, and would rather other people get dirty for him and do his 'silly peasant-activities' for him. He hates other people touching his luxurious fur and will hiss and spit and sick his bodyguard on him to make them pay, and loves nothing more than sinking into a hot bubbly bath with his little paws being massaged.
Bio:
Born and brought up by the ever-so-wealthy Silkensire family within Skyline City, his father - Sir Hubris Silkensire - owner of poké-production where currency is brought to the land, certainly meant that this little chinchilla pokemon would be raised in luxury. Perhaps not well, but he'd certainly be pampered. Heir to his father's massive business, the child was constantly nannied, his mother and father far too busy to raise him themselves. If Vanity didn't get what he wanted, he'd yell for his father. And when the son of Sir Silkensire cries out, you answer with whatever he wanted, or that was the hidden rule at least. Brought up to believe he was better than others, that he could always get what he wanted, to always expect people to stand below his heel and do as he pleased for his own entertainment, Vanity very quickly became a foul and bratty fellow, threw tantrums a lot and threw things in said tantrums, a right monster.
But Hubris' little child was growing up, and he needed to have experiences to make him a true pokemon who was capable of running such a powerful and vast business within this world. Thus Vanity's father decreed that his son be sent out, to not be caught up in the household, to see the world as it is in order to become powerful himself. And when Sir Silkensire decreed something, it was always followed through. Vanity cried like a baby, and he hit people and threw things and refused to leave, but in the end he had no choice in the matter. His mother and father wished him farewell with naught but an insulting about of poké to his name, and a bodyguard was assigned to him so he could create a team and get a name for himself. Getting a name for himself would help the business after all.
Such a shame that Vanity had the severe misfortune of having a certain spiritomb as a bodyguard... Thus these adventures begin.
-Other-
Theme Song: Temposhark - Don't Mess With MeRelationships:
-Hubris Silkensire: His father which banished him upon this terrible journey, rather dislikes him for this, and vows to do significantly better at life than his father ever did.
-Amoré Silkensire: His mother, agreeing to send her child out into the wilderness. Refuses to listen to what she says, believing only his father has the slightest right to even speak to him in equality.
-Ko: The spiritomb bodyguard he was given to help him on this journey to keep him safe. Likes her like a servant, as she does as he says, bar a few sly jabs here and now about 'that's not what Hubris would like'. Is the one to apologise to people for Vanity's crude behavior. Awfully sneaky and suspicious too, though Vanity often and concerningly blows that off. She wouldn't hurt him according to him - 'he's practically royalty after all'.
Romantic Relationships: Looking for a very pretty lady who stays silent and does as he says without question, flatters him constantly without hesitation and would die for him. He's incredibly superficial and shouldn't be allowed to be in a relationship, simply put. Don't date this slimebag. Trust me.
