The sun was dipping into the ocean as the day was coming to a close. The clouds in the sky were few and small. It was just a bit cool out. On the roof of a small building near the sea was a creature that looked white on top and blue below the neck, save its white hands. If one was close enough, they could see that the Pokemon's only visible facial features were its eyes. The would also notice the white on its face was fluffy looking, like a cloud. The Pokemon was laying down on the roof, looking at the sunset.

James ruffled his feathers. He could sense winter coming and he'd need to get a scarf or something. The wind would bite into his wings and make them numb. And he couldn't exactly work with frozen appendages. He looked out at the setting sun and sighed. It had been a slow night at PDS and James was ready to get home. He was tempted to leave Krikit in charge for the remainder of the day and have Frank the Fearow take delivery orders. James' thoughts wandered to his kids and Danielle. He hadn't been home in a few days and had recently got back from delivering. He closed his eyes for a moment.
Home...

While the bird couldn't wait to get home, the other creature was happy to be away from home. It's not that he hated his home or anyone in it. He was simply an adventuress youngster with the furthest he travelled being to a cliff a few miles away. Speaking of home, he'd have to get back eventually. The Froakie rose up and started a sprint, hopping from roof to roof. It was basically second nature for the amphibian to make as little noise as possible in travels, but even the best at stealth make mistakes. As River landed on a roof, he let out a sort of yelp. The tiling below his feet slid, causing him to fall over. Though the young Pokemon managed to grab onto the roof with his sticky hands, the slope was steep and River found it difficult to pull himself back up. As River looked around, he noticed something. This roof, probably along with the rest of the building, couldn't have been maintained in months, maybe even years. Those tiles hit the ground hard, causing River to flinch as he heard the sound. "That's what I get for picking a new route at night." He mumbled to himself as he pondered his next action.

James looked over to the sound of falling tiles. Another Pokemon was there. The Pidgeot couldn't see the Pokemon, but no bird Pokemon was that clumsy on a roof. It was something that was trying to be stealthy. James smiled.
"I know your there. There's no reason to try and hide."
James flew over to sound, not sure what to expect.

River lightly rolled his eyes to the voice that sounded. Sure, he tended to travel quietly, but that was more just a natural action, not a conscious attempt to hide from anyone. "Well, obviously you don't know exactly where I am, cause if you'd seen me, you'd know hiding isn't exactly my top priority." The Froakie was more or less stuck. Sure, he could probably get off eventually, but a rash action in the attempt could land him at rock bottom, literally.

James glided over to the voice. He lightly touched down on the roof. It was twilight and James' eyes hadn't yet adjusted to the light. He lightly hopped over to where the voice was. There hadn't been any movement in a little while, so James thought either this Pokemon was hiding or was simply stuck. James decided to talk some more to further determine this.
"Well, if you aren't hiding," James said, "then I guess you wouldn't mind coming to very I can properly see you."

River's light blue skin didn't exactly blend in with the night, but to be fair, it didn't stick out much either. So it wasn't exactly too big a surprise that detective James couldn't find the frog. River's eyes were a little better at seeing in the twilight. Sure, they weren't as effective as the ones a ghost tends to have, but they were enough that the Froakie could make out the shape of a near by creature. He wasn't quite sure what it was, but whatever it was, it could fly, and it was huge, at least compared to the little water type pokemon. For a moment, River debated if he honestly should be hiding, but then again, this town is peaceful enough, and this pokemon didn't seem hostile. Besides, as much as River doesn't want to ask, this guy could be of help. He'd just have to be careful. The Froakie let out a sigh. He didn't want to admit it, but he know he had to, and this pokemon would probably find out soon enough anyways. "Actually, I'm kinda stuck. Could you just come here for a minute? Careful, this roof's pretty rotten."
