The Misty Forest was known for having some... less than moral pokemon within it, not helped by the blase attitude much of the inhabitants had towards crime, some even practicing it themselves. Despite this, the law tried to prevail, having warrants for arrests, and sometimes, going in to do the job themselves.

Considering the reputation of the area, Malachite was surprised any law abiding Pokemon would come within 100 feet of it, nonetheless police. But still, the job was the best rate she could find at the moment, and the Shuppet needed to get a place to start anyways. Especially for the money. She looked around the Mystery Dungeon with her namesake's eyes, trying to be prepared for anything, as her type was at both an advantage and disadvantage here. The last thing she needed is someone appearing out of nowhere, especially a hostile. She was sure her luck would give her a fortuitous path though, if not then just a few fights.

Ooh! This place was getting creepier and creepier by the minute. A thick, dense fog surrounded her, clouding her vision. Every now and then, Kiri would hear a rustling sound, but other than that the dungeon was eerily quiet. Still, this request seemed easy enough. All she had to do was track down some law enforcers (which, in her mind, automatically equaled Growlithes).
Kiri began to pick up her pace, determined to find the entrance to the next floor and get this job done with as quick as possible. The fog was starting to fade, giving her a better view of the area. Spotting something that looked like a berry- round and with a stem on top- in the distance, she started running towards the item, The next thing she knew, Kiri found herself skidding to a halt, bumping into her target.

Beyond the mist, a jingling noise sounded, and even sounded as if it were getting closer, yet no figure showed itself in the mist... there was only a blank space between the two pokemon and beyond. The jingling got closer, now seeming as if it were only a few feet away, still no one showed.

"Eek!" The Shuppet quickly moved away from whatever bumped into her, trying to look more aggressive and less scared and startled. She looked the Pokemon up and down, thinking to herself in silence. Normal type. Has to be. Why is it here though? Oh no, if this one took the job too...this one won't be able to do anything here, and I'll have to split the money. Ugh.
Her attentions were suddenly pulled from the normal disaster and to the jingling noise. "Don't run into me again. Listen. That noise. Could be an enemy. Stay sharp and don't get in my way." Malachite wasn't concerned with actually introducing herself, instead she decided to head towards the source noise, trying to be as ready as possible for what could come.

Waa! "A floating...rag?" Kiri murmered to herself, eyeing the Pokemon speculatively as she sorted through her brain files of the countless Pokémon species that she knew about, trying to remember what this Pokémon kind was called. Banette? Yeah, that sounded right. Too be honest, she hadn't had a lot of contact with Ghost Pokémon, with most of the info she knew about them coming from books and what others had told her.
Just as she was about to ask the other Pokémon what she was doing here, she paused, hearing a jingling in the distance. "Hey! Wait up!" Kiri yelled, running after the Ghost Pokémon.

The jingling noise got louder and louder- and at a faster pace, too. Soon enough, it sounded as if it might as well only be a few steps away... in a flash, it stopped, just like that. The forest was silent again.
On the ground, there appeared to be a bag full of poke, with no clear sign of if someone actually put it there.
(( Everyone obtained 31P! The party has also moved onto F2. ))
There appeared to be nothing ahead- however, there was a hidden switch in the ground that, once activated, would suddenly show a supposedly scary 'monster' to a pokemon, which in actuality was a constructed rag doll filled with a few oran berries to fill it out.

Malachite didn't bother allowing the other Pokemon to catch up, yet her originally peeved off mood changed entirely with the sight of the Poke. Knew I was doing this for a good reason. At least this money won't have to be split.
She advanced to the next floor and looked around, was this some kind of trick? An empty room? She grumbled to herself and began taking a closer look at the area, not yet noticing the hidden switch. "Hey! What'syourname! Help me look. There has to be something here. Mystery Dungeons don't just throw empty rooms at you like this."

((I'm not really sure how to reply to my own reply in this situation, considering Mala's already searching for the hidden switch, there isn't really anything I can add, is there?))
