Jackson studied the Snover's face. Sandeha still didn't trust him and it didn't seem like he would for a while. Maybe Jackson could do something to sway him. Then the idea came to him. He'd do what Sandeha himself asked: Show him the way out!
"Of course I do," Jackson boasted. He puffed up his chest in pride, "I'll even throw in a free escort to keep you from getting hurt."
The fact that Sandeha was quite shy around Jackson boosted his confidence, so he wasn't tripping over any of his words!
"Follow me," Jackson shouted.
Maybe I can be like this to a lot of Pokemon Jackson thought excitedly

"I-I can defend myself." Sandeha said, not wanting to depend on someone he'd just met, "B-but I guess I'll go w-with you..." he said. He figured he had no choice, and that it'd be better to go with a pokemon that acted friendly towards him rather than stay lost and possibly encounter a more hostile pokemon.
He nodded, ready to go with Jackson. He figured that he'd just stay with him up until things got more familiar, as he didn't want to actually lead him to his home and risk other pokemon finding it as well, "So, d-do you l-live here th-then?" he asked, "A-although, you don't look like you would."

Jackson smiled at Sandeha saying that he could defend himself.
"Of course you can," Jackson said, "But a Fire-Type's help is always a good thing to have around when Grass-Types are the threat."
Jackson walked along and listened to the Snover's question.
"No, I don't live here," the Growlithe responded, "I'm from the Plains. My family lives there. I just happened to be in the neighborhood when you fell into your pickle."

Sandeha supposed that the other pokemon could help, but convinced himself that he'd be fine by himself anyways, since Ice was effective against Grass Types.
He nodded, but paused, realizing that he really didn't know where the plains were. He didn't want to look like an idiot, but at the same time, he wondered what sort of place that was, "So, um... How's the Plains?" he asked. Usually the members at Parivara seldom spoke of other places unless they happened to be traveling there.
A pink pokemon noticed the two traveling, and at first would have ignored them- if not for the basket of berries one of them was carrying. They jumped out, fully intending on getting those berries for themselves.

Jackson smiled at the Snover.
"The Plains are great," Jackson answered, "But there's a lot of skirmishes between the electric and fire Pokemon makes it unpleasant sometimes."
As Jackson spoke, his pricked up. He heard some rustling in the bushes. Jackson turned to face the threat, teeth bared.

"So... have you fought against Electric pokemon...?" Sandeha asked, and could only imagine how such a battle would go. Neither had a type advantage, so both could be evenly matched...
His thoughts were interrupted when a pokemon stepped in front of them, staring right at him. Intimidated, Sandeha stepped back, but remembering that he didn't want to depend on the other pokemon, he took a deep breath, setting his basket down gently before going forward to blow ice particles at the opposing pokemon.
The pokemon, a male Nidoran, felt the ice against them, but continued to push forward, their horn glowing a light purple in preparation for Poison Sting.

Jackson watched as the Pokemon leapt from the bushes. A Nidoran. Sandeha shot some icicles from behind Jackson and hit the Nidoran.
Impressive Jackson thought. The Nidoran pushed on, charging up a poison sting. Jackson shot an Ember before the Nidoran got to him.

The Nidoran felt a fiery ember hit his face, and the temporary blindness made them miss and hit the dirt. This only seemed to provoke the pokemon further, and they ran forward again, and once they thought they were close enough, turned around and pushed themselve's backwards to use Double Kick.
Sandeha watched as the attack hit the Nidoran. Despite it not being met for him, he made sure to keep his distance away from it, if only because he had such a double weakness to fire. The battle wasn't over yet, as the Nidoran attacked again. Remembering his other attacks, Sandeha gave a look of feigned indifference, although given his actual personality, it was obvious to see through it. It was his attempt at using 'Swagger'.

Jackson watched his Ember successfully hit the Nidoran. He smiled arrogantly.
"Guess you can't handle the heat," he yelled at the blinded Pokemon. Jackson Intimidated the Nidoran as he it recovered. He prepared himself to take the Nidoran's next attack so he could use Reversal and use the Nidoran's momentum against him.
"Bring it on, Pinky!"

The Nidoran felt themselves get dizzy as they were confused, yet because of Swagger, their attack also went up, although the Growlithe's Intimidate managed to lower that a bit.
Still, the pokemon proceeded with the attack, continuing to run backwards towards the fire pokemon, and attempt to hit with Double Kick.

Jackson took the Double Kick right to his head. He scooted back a little bit from the force of both kicks, but stood his ground. He then lifted his head and grabbed onto the Nidoran's foot with his mouth. He fell back and, using the momentum, slammed the Nidoran into the ground. He quickly rolled over and got to his feet, feeling some slight pain from the kicks.
I gotta stop doing that Jackson thought.

The Nidoran cried at the force of the impact. They rolled over, weakly getting up, and only took a step forward before collapsing. They occasionally twitched, but other than that, made no other movements.
Sandeha paused, looking at the Nidoran. In truth, this was his 'first battle', at least on his own. In Parivara, he usually wasn't one to handle much of the battles, being more suited for battle. Was the pokemon... defeated? He felt tempted to poke the pokemon just to make sure, but at the same time, felt fearful of doing so, as if they might just get up again and attack.
He looked to the Growlithe, and then to the ground, hesitating, "U-um... Thanks..." he said quietly, but just loud enough to hear, "I-I mean, I-I could do that myself just... not as quickly..."

Jackson grinned at Sandeha.
"No problem, buddy. All in a day's work," Jackson said. He looked back at the twitching Nidoran, "I should do this kinda thing professionally! Pokemon Wrestling! That would be awesome!"
Jackson got caught up in his daydream. Wrestling would be so cool to him and he could imagine himself as a wrestler. Jackson the Flamethrower!
