Nix turned to the spider beside her and she smiled softly, "people should be able to train and work and everything they need to, no-one should hinder or stop that. That what i think are fair" she said with a nod of her head. Though, the comment from the fire type made her turn towards him too. "Im not actually the type that normally uses these moves but they work well for me and help me show my emotions, and fight against those i dislike" she said with a nod of her head, "im here because ghost and dark types will beat me down easily, im here to train against types who could take me out. I just happened across this old acquaintance, and so i thought we should move together" she said with a grin of her head

Aires nodded with Jackson's comment, if anything, how well she preformed the attack almost made him think that Kirlias could be part ghost type, if not for the Haunter's comment early in the battle, about how a 'real ghost type' could use those sort of attacks better. Nix showed quite the contrary!
He was about to answer Jackson's comment, but listened to Nix's answer first. Hearing it, he thought about it for a moment. He often considered discovering a need, but many pokemon often hindered this; mainly when they got annoyed with what was his lack of personal space. Perhaps his inventions would fit this definition more, he wouldn't like it if some pokemon were to hinder his invention-making, or even worse, misused his creations, especially if they promised not to.
Coming back to Jackson's question, he answered, "I came here to find out more about stories!" he said cheerfully. He almost answered with humans instead of stories, but made a split second change, now more aware of Nix's discomfort of the subject.

(So sorry for the late reply. I've been so busy and whenever I try, something comes along and messed it up😰) Jackson nodded at the other Pokemon's answers. Nix seemed like a great Pikemon to have as a friend and ally. Jackson wasn't sure about Aires yet, though. He seemed just... off, especially with his answer to Jackson's question for being in Candle Village, like he was leaving something out. Jackson brushed it off just as his nerves getting the better of him.
"I ca-came here because I h-heard that Ghost types k-knew a lot of information," Jackson said, "I was ho-hoping that they may ha-have known my-"
Jackson stopped suddenly, unsure of how to continue. His brother was a touchy subject for him and he wasn't sure how to go on. He stayed silent for a while, mustering up the courage to say it.
"Brother's whereabouts," he finally got out. Jackson looked back up at the two Pokemon in front of him. He hoped they wouldn't judge him on almost losing himself to grief just then.

Aires nodded, seeing as how he'd come for a similar reason to Jackson's... Or, at least Aires would insist that the stories were 'information'. He quickly took notice of how Jackson stopped suddenly. The Ariados tilted his head, wondering why, before Jackson finally seemed to spit it out.
Like Nix, it seemed if Jackson also had a 'touchy subject' to him, but why his brother? With Nix, it was somewhat understandable, seeing as how humans were sometimes regarded with fear, but why someone's family? Wasn't family usually a good thing? Although, he had heard about 'family' not acting as such...
Speaking of Nix... where was she? Looking around, Aires found that Nix seemed to be leaving, waving to both of them before going out of Candle Village. Aires waved back, turning to Jackson. On one hand, he wanted to ask about his brother, but by now he'd learnt his lesson that some pokemon could be rather sensitive to subjects, "... Any luck?" he asked, inquiring about the search for information.

Jackson stared at the ground for a moment. He missed his older brother so badly. But now was the time to search, not cry. The Growlithe looked up at Aires and Nix, except Nix was gone. She was leaving Candle Village and waving goodbye. Jackson waved back and looked at the Ariados.
"What kind of stories are you looking to hear?" Jackson asked, though he had a nagging thought at the back of his head what it was. Nix being gone would allow them to talk more freely without having dark moves being thrown in their faces.

"Stories about humans!" Aires said cheerfully, feeling much freer to talk about the subject now that Nix was gone- or, maybe Jackson had a bad experience with them too? Perhaps it'd just be the usual reaction, which was either disbelief or looking spooked, and not nearly as passionate as Nix was about them.
"They're rather interesting," he continued, "I wonder, might they be another species of pokemon too?"

"If they are, then why would they capture other Pokemon?"
Jackson furrowed his brow at what Aires suggested. It was a messed up thought, Pokemon enslaving other Pokemon, but not out of the question. Jackson looked back at the Ariados.
"What should we do now? Go ask around?"
Jackson looked around him. He saw ghosts and heard them whispering. This place gave him the creeps and he didn't want to stay long. He wanted information and he was willing to burn anything and bite anything to get it. He wanted his brother back.

"Hmm... Why do they?" Aires said, "And make them battle each other...? Are they weaker than those red-fish pokemon, so they can't fight on their own?" he asked, honestly contemplating this, "Then again, other pokemon hunt other pokemon, so..."
His thoughts were interrupted by Jackson's other question, "Ah, yes, we should." he said, looking around. He found the place to have some sort of enchantment and mystery to it, whether all the mysteries were really true or not, "... What does your brother look like?" he asked.

Jackson listened to the Ariados' out loud thinking. Pokemon do hurt other Pokemon, but at least they don't enslave each other. Well, the decent ones at least. Aries asked Jackson what his brother looked like. He pictured Cody's face. A big, intimidating Arcanine, but with a glint of playfulness and mischievousness in his eyes and smile. When they were younger, Jackson saw that smile a lot. But a little while before his brother disappeared, that glint was faded and the smile not there. What had happened to his brother that made him like that? Jackson could only wonder...
"He's an Arcanine. He looks pretty standard, but his mane is shaggier on his forehead," Jackson replied, "He went missing a while ago when I was a little kid. When I was old enough, I started looking for him. This just seemed like a good place to ask around."

"Arcanine..." Aires paused, trying to think of what the 'standard Arcanine' might look like, and realized that perhaps he should have been more specific about his appearance question.
"Um... Are Arcanines related to what you are?" he asked, looking over the other pokemon and trying to imagine a bigger him with a shaggier mane near his forehead, as Jackson had described- Although, Arcanines could look much more different, as Spinarak weren't the same color as Ariados.

"Yes," Jackson responded, "If I can ever get my paws on a Fire Stone, I can evolve into an Arcanine. They look crazy intimidating and awesome. Mane all the way down to the back, a harder, stronger face. Just awesome."
Jackson got lost in his fantasies. He thought of meeting his brother again, and looking just like him. The look of shock on Cody's face would be hilarious.
"I'm not the best Pokemon to describe other Pokemon, so you should look at a drawing of some sorts for a better idea. We may be able to find one around the town. Let's go scout around a bit."
Jackson walked further into town, looking around for other Ghost Pokemon to talk to.
"Come on, what are you, a Slowpoke."

"Hmm..." Aires tried to imagine Jackson's brother with the description he had given about an Arcanine; he pictured an extremely exaggerated image of a dog-like pokemon with long hair, sharp features facing the wind.
Again, he nodded; it'd be great if they could find some sort of picture.
"No, no- I'm an Ariados!" he corrected before following Jackson, also looking for a pokemon to talk to. Unknown to him, however, above him was a prank in progress. On a tree rested a bowl of water, just waiting for some pokemon to tip it on themselves.

Jackson walked along. He laughed at the Ariados' inability to catch his joke.
"That was a joke, Mr. Aires," the Growlithe explained as he looked back. Little did he know of the prank above him. Jackson kicked the rope, pulling the bowl of water off the tree and down onto his head. The fire-type yelped in fear and started stumbling around to get away from what just attacked him. He heard giggling in the tree and looked up. He couldn't see or smell anything, but he heard them. His fear faded away and was replaced by anger. His teeth went ablaze.
"OK, little ghosts, let's see how funny this is," Jackson yelled. He inhaled deeply and shot a Flame Burst from his mouth.

"Ooh." Aires said. He'd always been more for physical humor, as he had a tendency to take word puns and other such jokes far too literally.
Hearing his companion yelp, Aires quickly looked to Jackson, finding him with a bowl on his head, and covered with water. He stifled a giggle, but soon enough that stopped completely when a flame whizzed passed him; perhaps it wouldn't do so good to laugh at a pokemon that had your type advantage.
Moments later, there were several yelps of pain as three ghost pokemon fled from their hiding spot. One of them ran around in circles, yelling about putting out the fire, when in truth it was just a small burning sensation he'd felt from the attack.

Jackson watched the three ghosts yelp and run around. Now it was Jackson's turn to laugh. Serves them right for messing with him. He continued along, asking some of the Pokemon he met about where he can find someone who knew lots of information. He was directed to a tiny house at the end of town.
Why is it always the end of town?
Jackson looked back at Aires, "Let's get moving. Maybe this Pokemon can tell us about humans and stuff."
Jackson ran forward, excited to find out about some interesting topics.
