For those who don't know what the Nuzlocke Challenge is: www.nuzlocke.com/challenge.phpI've been itching to do one again but I have to say that my previous experiences are...discouraging. How far have you gone? Have you tried it yet? If yes, in which game? Which game do you think is the hardest to do Nuzlocke in? From what I remember I've tried a White Nuzlocke and a HeartGold Nuzlocke, both ending in failure. I really worked hard on that White since I was actually able to reach Chargestone Cave without my starter (Snivy died early ;A; ) but then I gave up when I lost my Munna...T_T So yeah, have you guys been better? I might try doing a Black/White 2 Nuzlocke...

Well, I've never heard of the nuzlocke challenge until last night, when I first read your post, but I've already started Emerald: Hard Mode since then. Unfortunately, all of the pokemon I've first seen over the past 5 routes, including the forest, have been poochyenas, minus one lotad. I think setting my clock to 12:00 am might have had something to do with it, but it still sucks.

Lol, well there's actually a rule that some people put which is the 'No Duplicate Rule'. If the rule is in effect, that means that, say for example, you already have a Poochyena in your team and you encounter another one, you're allowed to kill it and still catch the next Pokemon if it's not something you caught before.
I never really put it in to effect because I just ended up killing the duplicates and kept on going. o3o I had two Ratattas in my team once though, but one died. ;A;

I attempted one in Pokemon Gale of Darkness, although I changed the 'one pokemon per area' and 'one pokeball per shop' rule because of the lack of locations. It was pretty interesting, considering that my starter (Eevee) died and I had to rely on everyone else... However, I quit it after awhile. I get too attached to pixels so to have to leave one of my pokes behind... ;m;

I have yet to try that game and I really want to T_T I've always wondered how it's going to work if it's going to be a PMD game? Like maybe the main player and the partner is excluded or something? Or if it's real hardcore then if either the player or the partner dies once or maybe three times then it's game over? @_@
Or just no Reviver Seeds? >_>

I'd imagine it'd be kind of hard, seeing as how for some of the game the pokemon you recruit can't go with you or you have to go with story-essential pokemon. Maybe it'd be good in a made-up storyline after the game is complete? The real challenge would be Pokemon Conquest or Pokemon Ranger

Oh my gosh yeah @_@ How does that work? I don't think Ranger would be possible since there's no battling. XD Not sure about Conquest...that means that they'll never be used ever if they die? @_@

Actually, now that I think about it, a Pokemon Conquest nuzlocke would be interesting. It'd make the game a bit more like the Fire Emblem, where the characters actually die. The war in the game would be more of a present threat.

Most nuzlockes are sad. Painfully, painfully sad.

I had an AMAZING idea last night: Anyone ever heard of pokemmo? It's a multiplayer version of Fire Red. The point is, what if we had a nuzlocke league? the game has a clan feature, so everybody joins the clan, and before someone is allowed to face a gym leader, he has to beat somebody in the league! last man standing wins! P.S. RIP Sam the Wingull, lvl5-lvl13 Prematurely buried in a Rock Tomb

I have not heard of that yet, but I might try sooner or later.
I'm starting a HeartGold Nuzlocke now and everything looks good so far (well I'm a slow player and so far I haven't even reached Violet City yet). I chose Totodile as my starter this time since before I tried with Cyndaquil and Chikorita...well, I played with Chikorita during my first game ever in Crystal, so yeah.
Current Team: (Don't laugh at my names they're quite random <_<) Lv 10 Blake the Totodile Lv 4 Tsubaki the Hoothoot Lv 2 Ruka the Ratatta Lv 4 Binna the Metapod (got lucky, though I wish I found a Caterpie instead).

Usually in my pokemon games, I try to keep all my pokemon the same levels and be above any enemy trainer pokemon, including gym leaders and such. This... sort of helps, sort of doesn't in nuzlockes. Survival of the fittest ya'll.

Well it's kind of hard training them haha vwv I usually do that as well, but now my starter usually is the strongest, at least 3 levels above all the rest. Or sometimes it's just pretty darn random.
