Aires hurriedly moved along the darkened path, fog wrapping around the barren trees. He seemed unafraid, and from that, one could assume that he was simply from here. However, he was also looking all around him, the eyes that were expanded in size by his goggles showed a sort of childish wonder that never seemed to go away. In truth, he had been here before, but lived in a totally opposite place- the peaceful and ever-friendly Meadow Lake.
So, why would a foreigner come all the way to Candle Village? For Aires, it was like how others were drawn there, the myths. He kept coming there for them, convinced that they were true, and went to see out of pure curiosity. Not having many offensive moves, it was somewhat tough getting through the forest, but instead he used his defensive moves to avoid battles.
He stopped at the village entrance, looking around him. Should he go further? ... No, that was bad. Very, very bad. He'd been defeated trying to go further before, but the myths of what lied beyond still interested him. Looking elsewhere, he wondered if another prank might be pulled. Those were always funny.

Nix took a deep breath and then reached down to tug on the ribbon around her wrist and she nodded to herself in a form of persona comfort and also to make herself to stronger to anyone who came across her as she went this way, this was something she needed to do and it was something she mostly wanted to do but it didnt mean she wasnt worried about it. She walked up to the village entrance in the shadows fully knowing that she could encounter on of the pokemon that she had come here to see even faster in this way but she had to do this, she was thinking of it as her first sort of mission on the way to becoming a mystery dungeon team member.
She paused as the gate into show and she spotted a pokemon waiting out side it and she leaned over and hoped she wasnt seen in the darker shadows, it didnt seem to be a ghost type but then again she didnt know what type it was so it wasnt good to assume that so she did the polite thing. "erm, hello?" she said in a quiet but strong voice as she stepped over and out from the shadows

"Oh, hello!" Aires said in a cheerful manner, turning around to face the other pokemon. Moving forward to get a better look at her, he recognized the other pokemon as being a 'Kirlia', as he recalled learning before. In fact...
"I know you!" he said, his legs moving around her, as if he wanted to make sure, "Yes, I know you. You're that Kirlia I saw once in... Flower Hill." he said, nodding to himself. He paused, "... Are you here for the myths too?"

Nix looked the other Pokemon over with careful eyes and something was annoying her, she recognised this Pokemon type but didn't know where from. Though she was spotted in a moment and once she saw the goggles of the other pokemon, everything came back. "yea, I remember" she said simply as she walked a little closer to the other Pokemon and then nodded, "my family were taken away to apparently a place where humans are, I didn't think it was true but I want to learn about them" she said in a slightly tight voice. Her little sister and both her parents had been taken, she had nearly been abused in the worst way for a female on top of it too but she fought back and managed to flee as her father told her

"Humans!" Aires said, excited. He always had a fascination for them, ever since he heard of them where he used to live, the Pedeo Mountains. Many of the Pokemon spoke of them as myths, mere tales to scare Pokemon. Aires had always believed that they had to exist, perhaps out of pure gullibility. He always wondered if these humans were another species of Pokemon, or just another entity altogether.
It was clear that he regarded them differently than the Kirlia did, "Maybe we could work together? To learn more about the humans." he offered, eager to learn more about them.

Nix watched the excitement on the face of the other pokemon and she frowned a little, had he never been told what humans did? How they kept pokemon in tiny sphered jails? That forced them for eggs to sell on, they battled them against each other against their will! She shudder at the thoughts before he spoke again and this time she smiled a little, "good idea" she said simply before she waved a hand over the gate In to the village. She didn't want to be the one to walk in but she also didn't want to seem rude, this avoided both these issues

Aires tilted his head, noticing the small frown she gave him. Did she not find humans as interesting as he did? He heard many pokemon doubting the existence of humans before, but he was always persistent in believing that they existed anyways. Perhaps that was it?
However, the Kirlia agreed to his request, and Aires smiled, happy that she did. She waved over the gate, making Aires pause and wonder what she was trying to do. ... Oh! She was waving to him, wasn't she? Granted, it was a bit late, as he had already said his greeting, but he waved back anyways before entering the village.
He looked over the village. Compared to the Misty Forest, it was much clearer here, but there was still a thin layer hanging around. He spotted a nearby pokemon, a Haunter, "Over there! A pokemon! He might know something." he said to the Kirlia, pointing a leg to the pokemon.
(( Seeing as how it's your character's backstory this character is relating to, do you want to control the Haunter? Or should I? ))

*methinks I'll take him, after a few posts. I'm thinking you sit and ask questions and what not and when we come close to the topic of nix, I take iver*
Nix only realised the state she was in when the other Pokemon waved at her and entered the village, had her gesture been that odd? Most people asked if someone else wanted to enter first but maybe she had just been confusing, either way they walked in and she took the chance to look around. It seemed dark but not too hard to see, just an eerie kind of feeling. Though she didn't have time to think on this as her companion was already rushing off to someone to start talking, earning a roll of her bright eyes but she knew she had to follow him anyways and so began to walk after him slowly

Aires scurried over to the Haunter, who seemed to be occupied with something else at the moment, "Hello!"
The Haunter quickly turned around, seeing the Ariados, "Hey now, aren't I supposed to be the one doing the scaring?" he laughed at his own joke.
Aires tilted his head, "I guess... Do you know anything about humans?"
The Haunter seemed surprised. He looked up to see a shiny Kirlia following behind him, and smiled. It was a closed-lip one, something that might seem strange on a Haunter, "Ah, haven't you heard about them? Many say they're worse than meeting a Hydreigon on it's worst day..."

Nix stepped lightly and slowly after her companion and she heard him speak to the other Pokemon, though she didn't turn to look. She instead looked around her and she shivered, something about this place she knew and she didn't like being unable to place it. She heard her freind ask a question behind her and then the other pokemon spoke and nixs skin crawled, she turned quickly on her small feet and looked at this new Pokemon. It was familiar and she didn't know why, and so was this village! This was going to drive her nuts until she worked it out

"Really?" Aires said. So, that explained why the Kirlia had frowned earlier... Still, at least this pokemon hadn't denied their existence, but unaware to Aires, the Haunter wasn't intending on telling the truth just yet.
"To be fair, I'm not surprised... many doubt their existence..." the Haunter said, pausing, "... Have you ever heard of the tale of 'The Strange Creature at Moon Lake'?"
The Ariados shook his head, but was eager to hear it.
The Haunter told the tale, being sure to emphasize some details for a scare factor. The tale was really just made up by him, in order to scare and get a reaction, or in this case, tell the Ariados what they wanted without actually saying anything.

Nix stood behind her freind and she took a small breath, she didnt like this pokemon they spoke to. He reminded her of something that was making her skin crawl, not a nice feeling in the slightest. He spoke in a way she disliked too, it was to make his words seem better than they were and then a thought hit her. She remembered. The pokemon who had attacked her family and then sold them to humans, the pokemon who had thought she was merely a little shiny girl and so wouldnt be able to defend herself, the Pokemon who tried to take her in more than one way.
Her hands flew up from her sides and shadows drew in from around her, her anger made them spike out like barbs. she threw her hands up and shadows shot forwards from her and flew towards the ghost type as she hissed in a feral and aggressive noise, she was not that little girl anymore!
*flip out time!*

Aires was able to scurry out of the way of the shadows, this must have been her Shadow Sneak attack..., but he never thought it could be this powerful! Aires watched in awe, but also... fear? It was a foreign emotion to the pokemon, usually curious about everything and oblivious to usual social norms, and usually didn't feel fearful about things. Now, however, he just stood back, watching everything unfold. ... Was it because of the topic of 'humans' that she was acting like this?
Suddenly, the Haunter was struck by a shadow attack coming from the Kirlia, and his floating form was forced onto the ground, dust scattering around where he landed. While it was quite an attack, and he did sustain some damage, he simply got himself up, chuckling at the Kirlia.
"Ah, that was quite the impressive attack, I must say..., but, it's only a shadow pokemon that can make these attacks work!" his hands had a shadowy aurora around them before he shot the shadow at the Kirlia, using Hex to attack her back.

Nix hissed as her attack hit the other pokemon and then she didnt say a word as he spoke back to her, her anger was bubbling inside her like acid and she wasnt going to let anyone talk back to her. His move came at her and she grinned darkly before merely sprining to one side, she was the grace pokemon, she was damned fast and she would use that power. She turned on her foot as she landed and shot another shadow sneak back at the other pokemon once again.
"you cant win this, ive been training to take your scumy kind down since i was kidnapped" she hissed in a voice sounding more like the growl of an animal that a normal social voice, her eyes were glowing brightly and growls kept escaping her body. When nix got angry, she really got angry and nothing stopped her rage aside the justice that was needed. Here, now, it was beating this pokemon down into the ground

Jackson walked down the lonely path of the forest. The Growlithe stayed stalwart as Pokemon watched him from the shadows. Fear didn't register with him, not when information on his brother was a possibility. He paused and sniffed the air. He processed the smells and knew he was on the right track. Jackson could smell the ghost Pokemon, and, with Odor Sleuth, could pinpoint their location. He continued walking, growing ever closer to Candle Village.
Jackson arrived at the entrance. The feeling of being watched hadn't left him yet and he could see shapes skittering around the darkened buildings.
"Definately creepy," he thought. He continued walking. Jackson knew about the how the Pokemon here knew many things, mostly myths. He was hoping that they could have information on his brother. It was a long shot, but worth a try. He figured since he was in the neighborhood, he would ask around for another topic. Something most people disregarded as a myth and children used as scary stories.
Humans.
Jackson had always been fascinated by humans. The stories he had heard made him want to see them more and more. If he was here, he might as well ask around for rumors about humans.
"But that's all they are," Jackson muttered as continued to walk down the darkened streets. He still felt like he was being watched, and growled whenever he sensed one of them moving towards him., warning to back off. He walked until he could hear voices in the darkness. He quickly sprinted into the shadows of a building. Jackson was a brave guy in battle, but interacting with others was a different story all together. He watched with intent as a shiny Kirlia, a Haunter, and an Ariados talked. He couldn't make out the conversation, but watched as the Kirlia suddenly got very angry and launched an attack. The Ariados, who Jackson assumed was the Kirlia's companion, jumped out of the way and the attack made contact with the Haunter. It fell, but got back up and chuckled. He seemed to be mocking the Kirlia, who's anger grew, and launched it's own attack. The Kirlia dodged and attacked the Haunter again. Complete rage filled the Kirlia's eyes and Jackson was slightly scared. He had never seen something like this before. He needed to jump in quickly before things got out of hand. He assumed the Haunter was the bad guy here because of his body language and emotions on his face. So Jackson went into action.
He sprinted out of the shadows, jumped at the Haunter, and launched an Ember at his target.
