sta.sh/01nouh6xqw3iI tried sketching the map our beloved admin has made and added new areas because I was looking at the official PMD maps while sketching it. XD I'll try to make it look better in the computer, promise (that is, if you like it). Here are the areas that I sketched in: (I suck at names and infos of areas so suggestions please? ;v; ) --An island stuck in the middle of the ocean. The closest place to it is Port Neiville. --To the east of the island are some whirlpools. In the official PMD maps, this indicates an underwater dungeon. Perhaps a berry that allows Pokemon to breathe underwater for some time can allow other Pokemon to venture in there? A berry that's only present in the islands? --There's a cliff at the far west area. --Under the cliff are caves that stretch to the seabed, I think. But oxygen still circulates in certain areas. --There's a river that lies across Berry Meadow. It connects to the ocean in the west and forms a lake to the east. --There are ruins in the middle of The Great Plains and Berry Meadow. Wonder how that got there? --Near the Donvur Fields is a volcanic area and (obviously) a volcano. So yeah they don't have to all be there, but some of these ideas sound pretty cool. I also think that the Onut Village is somewhat mountainous, so the mountain range itself should have a name amongst the Pokemon, right? If the general board ends up getting too cluttered, maybe there should be like main areas and then they'll have sub boards? XD Yeah...

Oh wow, these ideas are great! Especially the map, way better than my lack-of-artistic-skills one. Perhaps the islands and whirlpool could be a future event? Like this mysterious whirlpool shows up, but is much too strong and no one has enough air to reach the bottom. So, some of our characters go to the islands, get the berries, and then go to the whirlpool. After the event is over, the berries could be available for sale in a shop. The caves could be... well, caves, but it could be another place for hiding criminals. The lake could be a popular vacation and resting spot, but many are unaware of what lies underneath... *DUN DUN DUUUN* And maybe the ruins and volcano could relate to the conflict in the Donvur Fields and Great Plains? Like, this ancient civilization could have been living peacefully with the electric pokemon, but the fire pokemon moved into the fields and plains due to how hard it was at the volcano. The electric and fire types started to fight immensely, and this ancient civilization, whomever they were, went away, leaving their homes as ruins. There could be sub-boards if they're needed? Though I don't see it getting too bad.

Lol yeah that all sounds like great ideas for the places too. XD When I was typing out the idea of the whirlpool I thought it would be a great place for my little Magikarp to shine hehe XD I bet there's some sunken treasure there! Or at least that's what the rumors say...or will they accidentally stumble upon a legendary's den?
Kind of like the very first dungeon of PMD: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky for the caves, ne?
I can imagine the lake having a little village close to it. XD
So you have any name ideas? I might try making this map look better sooner or later...gonna go out today with friends and stuff.

Ooor... Maybe a treasure that a legendary is guarding?
I can't believe I didn't notice that! It'd probably be for the more serious criminals and fugitives. There could even be an RP area of a place where are the big bads hang out.
I'd also imagine that the cliff could be an RP area for characters to just hang out. :U
The little village idea sounds cute! c:
As for names:
Island: Roofich Island (based off of the greek word for whirlpool, roufĂchtra, at least according to google translate)
Whirlpool: ... Mysterious whirlpool? Maybe 'The Roofich'?
Cliff: Baybon Cliff
Caves: Efar Tunnels (Based off of the german word for danger, Gefahr.)
Lake: Meadow Lake? I mean, it's not far off from Berry Meadow, so I'd imagine that some citizens from Flower Hill might visit from time to time.
Ruins: Achen Temple (Based off of the Ukranian word for lost, vtrachenyy)
Volcanic area + Volcano: Ashten Lands

Man you come up with good names. @_@ The whirlpools could just be like 'The Roofich Whirlpools' or something, I dunno. XD I would really like to relax on that cliff. Sounds like a cute romantic spot. |D

For Echo and Reido?
I'll get to creating the locations, then! c: I'll save island and whirlpool for a future event, though.
Also, if you do touch up the map, may I use it for the RP? And perhaps edit it/request your help to add to it when there's a new location?
Should the Achen temple be an event as well? Some researchers could go with our characters to discover a lost civilization! ... Or treasure.

Yep. :>
Yeah I noticed that you added the locations already, awesome. ^_^ Can't wait for the events then!
Ahahaha I need to add that of my list of things to do so I won't forget. |D Yeah sure, I don't mind. :3
That would be pretty darn cool. Maybe the Achen Temple will be an area that's there for only a certain amount of time. I can easily imagine the temple collapsing or getting buried under some rubble afterward once someone gets to claim the treasure (if there is any).
By the way does this board support like flash? I dunno, I'm not too experienced with it, but I thought it would be really awesome to make a map where you can hover over the locations and then I can input links in them so that when people click it it'll go straight to the board/info.

Perhaps? Or, a special item is needed to re-access it.
I'm not sure about if it supports flash, but while it does sound cool, I'm sorry to say that I'm not to experienced with flash either.

If that's the case I can always like post it maybe in dA or something. I know that it supports flash, just not sure how to use it. Then you can just link it here.
I learned a bit about buttons and hovering in Computer Class. I hope I still remember it. It's going to take a while to do it though, if you don't mind.

Of course I wouldn't mind, if anything, I think that doing this for the forum is fantastic! Thank you! <3
However, I have to ask- how easy would it be to edit the flash map add new locations should there ever be any?

Well I'm thinking of doing the Flash map by creating the main map (without the special hover stuff) in SAI or something and then...well never mind I'm too lazy to go to technicalities, but it shouldn't be so hard.

By the way, could you check your PM box? I'm sorry if this is irrelevant, but I'm not sure of how else to tell you.
