(( This is a test dungeon thread for Chris, to sort of run him through the ropes of being a dungeon mod. The dungeon guide is here for reference. I'd also like to ask Chris to show his odds for what happens. Ie; when generating for items, enemy encounters, and other things, put what number was generated out of the chance that it happened. Don't hesitate to ask questions! ))

(( You can make it Berry Meadow, or some other location if you wish. Seeing as how this is a test thread, the location can be lenient. ))

You look at the desolate area, all the trees are grey and dead, in fact everything is dead and grey, the water looks murky grey and horrible, most of the area has fallen trees and rocks, making movment very restricted, you have heard of this place in myth, That this place was once a wonderful place full of pokemon, however they say one day a group of pokemon from this land opened a portal to Giratina's home land, and tried to destroy him, however Giratina destroyed them, then in his rage completely destroyed this place beyond all reconnection,They say some pokemon did survive, although no one has anyone living to confirm that. there are pokemon now living here. You see two ways that you might be able to go through, a left path, and a right path, they both lead to the same point, but you know you will fight different Pokémon depending on the path you pick. Left Side Pokémon Floor B1-2 Right Side Pokémon Floor B1-2B Center Path Pokémon (When the two paths meet on B-3) B-3 [glow=red,2,300]BOSS[/glow] They say at the end of this Dungeon, theres the exit, and theres a portal leading to Giratina's world, that gives you the option to fight or flight. ((Sorry if some of the sprites don't work or look stupid, I had a hard time finding any at all))

(( Don't worry, I can see all the sprites.
I like how you described the dungeon! However, perhaps you could consider a more third-person view? Second person might give the impression that you're controlling the users characters.
Also, I'll be using a sort of NPC for this thread; don't worry about stats, he'll be statless for this thread. ))
The Grovyle looked around, seeing the whole area in disarray. One might assume that a horrible disaster happened here, but on this scale? It seemed impossible.
However, there was a myth that a strong, even legendary pokemon had destroyed this place- yet beyond the destruction that lay around, there was nothing else to prove this.
Yet pokemon were still able to live here? Even caves were somewhat bearable. Dungeon pokemon were content to live anywhere, it seemed... Despite all the wreckage around him, he was able to make out two paths; he had a feeling that they'd lead to the same place, yet in different ways.
At random, he chose the left path, and started on his way.

(ah ok I will try to use third person, I might even edit the details, but how should I randomize the events for pokemon,items/poke, or a random event, should I go something like 100/30, or do something like 100/50 for each of them? or some other method )

(( The dungeon guide here should give all the numbers you need to calculate. Also, if something is, say, a 30/100 chance, it means that a 30 or below needs to be generated for it to happen, and anything above 30 means that it doesn't/isn't successful. but you calculate: Poke: 30/100 Item: 40/100 Pokemon attack or puzzle: 50/100 Attempting to solve a puzzle: 50/100 An attack hitting: accuracy of attack/100 Poke and items can be calculated together. For pokemon attacks and puzzles, first you see if there's a pokemon attack, if not, then see if there's a puzzle. If neither occur, then it's just a random event, which can either be good, bad, or perhaps even neutral. Just calculating poke and an item but no puzzle or pokemon attack could also count as a 'random event', but you're free to make up one anyways. Based on what you generate, you write what happens; feel free to be as creative as you want with this! Also, as for how much poke and items there should be, it depends on if it's with a random event or not. If it's with a random event, then there's a low number of poke and items, but if it's with a puzzle or pokemon attack, then it's a high number of poke and items. For how you generate the events, use a number generator. Personally, I use this one: www.random.org/So, say I need to calculate for poke. Then I'd just click on the 'generate' button, and anything 30 and below means that poke is found. Usually stats can influence these things, but since we're going statless in this thread, you don't need to worry about that. For moves, you might have to look up their accuracy to generate if they hit. Did that help? ))

(yes it did thanks!) The left path looks as did the entrance, horrible and barren, all life stripped from the rock and trees, Theres no sound, its almost as if time stood still here, Most of the paths are broken and crumbling or otherwise do not look safe, however one thing sticks out from the grey a shining object on the path, albeit the path did not look safe, but neither did the other ones

While the Grovyle would consider himself an experienced explorer, he felt himself get goosebumps as he continued down the path. It would have been one thing if there were ruins, but here, it was like nothing existed to begin with. What sort of power could cause this...?
It was hard to miss the item that stood out among the ruined background. He went closer to examine it closer, figuring that he could fight any creature that came his way.

It looked like a Seed, although one would need to get closer to find out what it was, but there was trouble, a Duskull flying towards the seed, However this one was a red shiny duskull his color standing out from the grey wasteland more than a non shiny one would, It appeared that it was flying to the seed and it flew next to it and reached out its ghostly hand, however when the duskull was going to pick up the seed, It saw the Grovyle, his eye grew wide, "What are you doing here??" The duskull asked, in a low, echoing voice
((Chance of item, 10/100, Chance of enemy encounter, 32/100, Do you want me post the Duskull's stats?))

(( So sorry for the long wait! And yes, you can if you want to.
I'll also give my character some stats and moves- just so that the fights don't end up taking forever.
Grovyle: Strength: 8 Endurance and Evasion: 4
Moves: Leaf Blade, Slam, Screech, Detect ))
Peering at what the item could be, it seemed to be some sort of seed. Generally, those tended to look the same, and it took a very close look to really confirm what it could be.
Before he could get any closer, a pokemon flew to it, looking to be a Duskull, but it's colors were varied; a rarity to see such a colored pokemon. If not for them getting in his way, he might have admired the colors more.
"Couldn't I ask the same thing?" the Grovyle said, gesturing his hand over the torn landscape, "I see you and I have spotted the same item." he said, expecting a fight.

"I live hear of course!" The Duskull said in a matter-of-fact tone, Then Flew close to the Grovyle, Then flew around him, It looked as if this Pokemon was studying him, then flew back to the seed "Well I can also see ya want that seed but...So do I! So How about A Friendly competition to see who gets it?" The Duskull said, Smirking

Well, at least a 'friendly competition' seemed a bit better than an outright attack. The Grovyle responded with a smirk of his own, "... Sure. A friendly competition it is, then. May the best pokemon win, eh?" he got into a fighting position, "How about you have the first move?" he asked, feeling confident in his victory.

"yes may the best win" The Duskull said with a hint of confidence in his voice
"Alright, then my move..." The Duskull spun his little arms, then a small blue ball of fire formed in his hands, "HI-YA!" He shot the Will-O-Wisp at Grovyle, He new that if this hit, The grass type would be at a disadvantage and take extra damage from the burn it would cause

So, starting with a Status Condition? Rather smart, considering that the Grovyle depended on physical attacks, and should he get a burn, it would lower his attack. Two could play at this game.
He took a deep breath before emitting an ear-splitting scream, using Screech to lower the opposing Duskull's defenses.
