Buddy? He called him a 'buddy'? As in- a friend? Perhaps Sandeha was mistaken, and the Growlithe called everyone that, but still... Sandeha couldn't imagine why he'd consider him a friend so quickly, especially considering how he acted earlier... not that it wasn't justified. Was it? Sandeha thought of the Growlithe to be more of an... ally. Not too close, but they were on the same side anyways.
The thought of 'Pokemon Wrestling' distracted him from the 'friend' issue, "Pokemon Wrestling?" he asked out loud. He couldn't help but contemplate it, "... D-don't pokemon do that already? Or d-do you mean something different...?"

Jackson looked back at the stuttering Snover, his thoughts diverted from his wrestling fantasy. His question made the Growlithe think as well. What did he mean by Pokemon Wrestling?
"Well I guess meant kind of like a professional "This is your job that you get Poke for" kinda thing. I was just caught up in the moment," Jackson was finally able to explain. It took a lot of thought cause he didn't really know what he meant in the first place. Jackson's eyes wandered to the berry basket.
"You still looking to pick more or shall we be returning before one of us ends up poisoned or something?"

"Oh." Sandeha replied, although still questioned how it could be a profession, "M-maybe... it is something d-different... P-pokemon usually battle, s-so wrestling would imply something else..." he said, although before he could continue with his thesis on the concept of pokemon wrestling, Jackson had brought attention to the basket of berries.
"Ah, um, n-no." he answered simply, pausing, "I-I was hoping that you could l-lead me out of here..." he said, not feeling comfortable enough to lead Jackson to the Parivara home. It wasn't just the thought of what Jackson might do, despite their ally status- leading a complete stranger to his home might betray his family, especially Papa, as he and the other orphans lovingly called him.

Jackson smiled, but could sense that the Snover was hiding something. He could smell Sandeha's nervousness. He wondered what it was.
"Sure thing. Follow me."
Jackson walked onto the path that lead back to the town. Most of the Pokemon stayed back in fear, with Jackson growling occasionally to keep the wild Pokemon at bay. Some came forward, but Jackson easily held them off with Ember and Roar. He glanced back at Sandeha every now and then, making sure the Snover was still with him and was ok. Jackson secretly hoped the Snover would open up to him, but it didn't seem likely. This Pokemon didn't seem very trusting.

Sandeha was used to the sense of fearing every pokemon who he didn't know, but seeing others around him in fear instead was something new. He almost felt some false pride at this, until he reminded himself that it wasn't him that they feared, but rather, the pokemon in front of him.
Whenever Jackson looked back, he looked away, unable to look the pokemon in the eye. Sandeha still questioned what his motives were. Perhaps instead of being upfront with him, Jackson would just ask for some sort of 'reward' for leading him through the dungeon. Yet, Jackson hadn't gave any indication. Sandeha tilted his head.
"U-um..." he said, "W-why.... W-why are you h-helping m-me?" he asked, not as an insult or a sort of accusation, but rather, a genuine question.
(( Should we end the thread soon? ))

Jackson stopped mid-Roar. He turned to Sandeha.
"Why wouldn't I," he asked, "I don't like to see people in trouble or suffering. I just like helping people. No real explanation."
He glanced down at the berry basket, "The way you feel about that berry basket... The berries aren't just for you are they. You're getting them for someone else because there's no way you'd eat them all. Not even a Snorlax could do that," Jackson smiled at his little joke. He figured the Snover would be alarmed at the guess if Jackson was right. No one would expect this little Growlithe to be able to read Pokemon so well. But when you're shy, you really get good at observing.

Sandeha tilted his head. He'd been taught that other pokemon could take advantage of you, to leave you suffering... Yet, this pokemon didn't like that? Seeing pokemon in trouble was a distressing sight, so he supposed that Jackson might want to alleviate such an 'eyesore', but with no reward? Meeting this pokemon had shooken up his views more than he'd like.
He pulled the basket towards him, surprised, yet understanding why the pokemon would make the assumption- or maybe, rather, educated guess, "Well..." he didn't want to lead on who he was giving them to, "I-I guess you're r-right. I-I don't h-have that much of an appetite anyways..." he paused, "S-so, um... Wh-what sort of pokemon are you, a-anyways?" his cheeks blushed a bit at saying this, embarrassed at not knowing a piece of technical information, but he'd rather humiliate himself than reveal Parivara.

Jackson puzzled at the Snover's dodging of the topic, but answered his question anyway, "I'm a Growlithe, the..." Jackson paused. He didn't like what he was officially described as, "Puppy Pokemon."
He hoped Sandeha wouldn't laugh, but if it opened the Pokemon up a little, then great. But Jackson still wondered why Sandeha didn't know what a Growlithe was. The Snover was hiding something, but Jackson didn't want to pry.
"Let's get out of here," Jackson said, smiling at Sandeha. He turned and walked on.

Puppy pokemon? Well, he certainly supposed that Jackson looked like one... Thinking that the other pokemon was at least a little embarrassed about this put Sandeha at some ease, that he wasn't the only one being humiliated here.
Continuing on, Sandeha looked past Jackson, gasping as he saw an opening, "I-is that...?" he said to himself, picking up his pace, "I-is that th-the exit?" his voice picked up as he said this, excited to finally get out of such a dangerous place.
