Malachite's pupils danced as she took in the surroundings, sure the area wasn't much different from her original home, but there was still a sense of newness. She floated near some trees, observing them, considering her life so far was dictated by dungeons and even then, there were Pokemon, curiosity wasn't really anything to consider while being attacked.
Her mind was soon brought to how there were Pokemon here as well, with the gloomy surroundings she hoped to meet another ghost, that would be nice. Though there could be...others. She shuddered to the point her cape fell off, she grumbled and put it back on, still looking around. At this point, she would be okay to meet a non-ghost-type, where even was everyone?

Shane had traveled far from her home town in Meadow Lake, she soon stumbled upon Candle Village. She'd heard rumors that the town was full of mischievous Ghost-types, but she wasn't the type of Pokémon to be afraid of some measly ghosts. The gloomy surroundings were actually quite relaxing to Shane. The town looked deserted, Shane wondered if anyone actually lived around here.
Shane wandered around for a while, and finally saw something that caught her eye. A ghost? She thought, it was too dark to see; she approached the figure and soon it became clear, it was a Shuppet! "Hey there!" she called out to it, trying to get its attention.

Malachite was startled more than she should have been at the unexpected greeting, and quickly turned to look at the Pokemon. Her eyes were much more used to the darkness, and she noticed a blue color, a water-type most likely. She couldn't pin down an exact name though, most if not all of her past conversations and relationships were with other ghost-types.
She floated closer to the stranger, and moved up ever so slightly to be at eye-level. She's social. Doesn't look too tough though, bigger doesn't mean tougher. Brave for coming here. Or naive. Better say something. "Hello, water-type," she whispered, "What exactly...brings you here?"

The Shuppet didn't seem to be looking for trouble; still, Shane kept her guard up. "I was just passing by.." she said.
Shane looked around a bit, still wondering where everyone was, then looked back at the Shuppet; "Does anyone live around here?" she asked.

Just passing by? The water-type must be going somewhere then, if she needs to move past this area. Maybe she has items. "Fair enough..." Malachite glanced around the area, as if someone would randomly show up to prove that the area was inhabitable. "Haven't seen anyone else yet. Though I live around here."
Malachite pulled her cape up a bit and continued to look right into the water-types eyes. Can't show weakness. "Obviously you don't live here. Where did you come from..?"
