Genia sighed, standing around the entrance of the cliff residence. When she first took the job, she initially thought that it'd be all action, fighting off villainous burglars and other intruders, and teaching them a lesson about trying to sneak in. Instead, it was mostly just standing around. A lot of standing around, with only the waves to listen to, as no other pokemon was on this shift with her. Perhaps it had something to do with her having a day shift, of course no pokemon would think of doing a crime in broad daylight.
Still, boring or not, she'd keep to her job, keeping a vigilant watch. Genia hoped to amass enough money to go... elsewhere, no specific location in mind yet.

Taryn had decided that upon moving to the new city she would explore wherever she could taking trips here and there. Making sure as to not bother the explorers as they waddled off towards important missions. As much as the lure of adventure called to her the team aspect did seem like a sort of hamper to how she worked independently. She had come towards the Port inhaling the fresh saline air. "Refreshing!" she sighed pulling an apple from her pant like second skin. She gazed up at the cliffs above curious as to what dwelled up there.

The Croncronaw crossed her arms, another sigh passing her. As dedicated as she was, she was getting frustrated by pure boredom. At the same time, she'd hate to let a criminal go through while she was distracted, therefore failing the task and perhaps event losing her job.
She just happened to look down, seeing the other pokemon. Genia was unsure of what it was, but it looked sort of... lizard like? They seemed to be staring up, up at the cliffs. She suddenly thought of it to be suspicious, perhaps out of desperacy for some sort of action, "Hey, you!" she called to the pokemon below, "What're you looking at?!"

She munched contently at her apple admiring the views around her thinking of all the rocks she would be climbing for today. Perhaps a quick swim in the salty waters roused by a voice she looked about for the source. Spotting the LArger reptile from above she grinned smugly. "As far as the eyes can see, but you interrupted that so I'm looking at you." she snarked back cheekily.

Genia rolled her eyes, not amused by the pokemon's snark, "Well... Just keep um' off of the cliff, alright?!" she yelled back, still caught on the idea of them being suspicious somehow, as if they'd think of robing the cliff residence. Keeping a close eye on them, she didn't pay attention to how close she was to the cliff edge.

Taryn watched her rolled her eyes. Narrowing her eyes with distaste being told what to do. Who the heck made this Croconaw the boss anyway? Biting the last remaining bites of her apples she tossed it somewhere and began to climb the rocks anyhow. This was a free country after all right? As far as she was concerned she could go anywhere she pleased.

Genia glared at the other pokemon as she climbed the rocks, as if it were to spite her, "Okay, I'll give ya' about five seconds to jump back into the water!" she called, but didn't give them much of a chance anyways before she took a deep breath, and shot out of her mouth a stream of water that was the move Water Gun, attempting to aim for the Scrafty.

Taryn climbed as the urge flowed through her veins. The water? Whi in the hell did this pokemon think she was? Dialga? Arceus? Naw bro this silly girl wasn't gonna tell her what to do. A shiver ran down her spine at the tone of the Croconaws. Still she climbed ignoring her further.

Genia stomped in frustration at seeing that her Watergun had obviously missed, and the pokemon was still climbing up the rocks. Fine then, let her climb up, but Genia wasn't about to give her a warm welcome.
She snapped her jaws, to give a warning to the pokemon and stepped back, prepared to fight them off. She was supposed to guard the cliff residence, and to heck if she wasn't going to do that!

Leaping up Taryn landed onto the set of rocks facing the croconaw finally grinning in the stereotypical manner. Her milky eyes gazed boredly at the female snapping her jaws in a threatening manner reclining casually as she flicked her tail "Hey there~ why the sudden hostility, can't a girl go about her day viewing the beautiful sights hmm?" she cooed.

Genia's temper was getting the better of her, and the reaction, or perhaps lack of, was only furthering it, "Well maybe if you weren't looking so suspicious up here," she said, getting closer to the other pokemon, "I wouldn't be so hostile. Why do you even wanna' be up here anyways?!"

Taryn swayed her tail closing her eyes at the irritated pokemon before her. Yawning slightly bored with her suspicions "If I was going to do anything ah...how do you say suspicious, you wouldn't even see of hear me. But look I am right in front of you lounging!" with this the scrafty flopped onto her back in woeful pose groaning in mock pain.

"Well..." Genia paused. The pokemon had a point, as they'd at least be a little more forceful in their attempt to access the cliff area. She shook her head, still convinced that she was justified in accusing them, "That still doesn't answer why you came up here! For all I know, this could just be some facade of yours."

Aha...Taryn smiled inwardly having recovered from her mock pain. Of course she was up to something when wasn't she. There were plum juicy morsels tucked into the cliffs guardhouse! Ready for those on duty to indulge themselves when night falls, to which the scrafty longed to try, of course she wasn't about to tell that to the guard. Rising Taryn stretched with a yawn "I'm here for the glorious site before me of the crystal blue waters, the intoxicating lure of the gentle mists upon the breeze. Beside shouldn't you be worried about other capers about who might just be sneaky behind your back as you worry about this lonesome scrafty?" a grin tugging at the corners of her mouth.

Genia crossed her arms as she listened to the other pokemon. This place was popular for others to come here, more than once had she been suspicious of other pokemon, only to discover that they were just here for the sunsets, or to partake in the tradition of throwing off paper wishes in bottles off of the cliff.
Her mind still fought to not lose the battle that she started, "... So you're the distraction?" she said, quickly looking behind her before looking back to the Scrafty, "Where's your other cronies, huh?!"
